With the passing of time, the echoes of our school life will grow dimmer and dimmer, and then fade away, Gone forever will be the routine of school life, the fun we had, and the friends we made. It is the hope of the 1953 Milestone Staff that, as you glance through this book in the years to come, you will re-capture those moments--and the echoes will begin again. 4 PRIHIIIPHLS , IHESSHGE BRIDGEPORT HIGH SCHOOL A F mzaa Pr. apaz ROUTE. 2 FRANKFORT KENTUCKY May 21, 1953 TO THE CLASS OF 1953: You have learned many things from books which may be very helpful to you in doing the routine things that pertain to your particular job or profession. These are important and are very necessary. But the great truths of life which have ccmxe through the varied experiences which have been yours are those which will determine your success or failure. If we have been able to assist you to the point where you are able to live happier and get along better with other people, then om' work has been a success because you are a success. We believe that your lives have been enriched by those experiences and that you are prepared to take upon yourselves the business of community living. May you live to hring about a more peaceful world in which people will place service above selfish motives and where there is greater regard for the opinions of those who may even think differently from you.
