,413 Me Wfelm DR. AARTTHUR C. SIDES Every ship sailing on the high seas must have a ca-ptain to guide and maneuver her safely, a man alert to danger and competent enough to bring out the best in the vessel under his command. These years of strife iind our Good Ship Central sailing with an even keel through stormy seas. Dr. Sides, in his capacity as principal, deserves much credit for his leadership here. His experience during :the last war, when he served with Psychological Co. 1, gives him the keen insight and wisdom for guidf ing our student body now. His sense of humor has lightened many a moment for us and his understanding words of advice will always be appreciated. 6 The training which Dr. Sides received at Dartmouth College, from which he gradu' ated, and at New York University, from which he received the degrees of Master of Arts and Dootor of Pedagogy, has taught him to fill his position on our ship. The ex' perience he gained as principal at Wood- bridge High School, and as assistant prinf cipal at Central from 1920 to 1941, form a background which is a valuable asset. We of the graduating class, who are debarking, are very grateful to Dr. Sides for the ser' vices rendered and for the brilliant manner in which he has captained and steered our ship. l
