The seasons finale found Eddie Reillyis Hilltoppers tied with Fairfield for the county championship. Although the Red and Black lost hut one game, its record was slightly marred hy ties with llassiek, Harding, and Fairfield. The tirst game against Danhury pro' vided little excitement, with ends Fieo and Larson sparkling on the defensive, Muehf erino made the only touehdoxxn in a oft! game. The following week found Central hattling a strong Fairfield .eomhine to a seoreless tie. Frenzied fans saw Musante l 23 haektield, hut the final to Zero.
