Studious Sophs Storm the School Last September Central opened its doors to 726 newcomers. XVith Miss Dorothea Leonard as their class adviser, things bcf gan to happen. In the elections on October 18, the folf lowing were elected: Thomas McGuinn, president: Patricia Judge, vicefpresidentg lviary Drew, secretaryg Dennis Aubin, treasurerg Edward Monks and Doris Wailsh, directors of social activities: lvlarvin Sparrow and Pauline Rolleri, Tratiic Board representatives. November l4 was Sopohmore visiting day, when the parents met the faculty. A meeting was held on December 16, at which time the class ofiieers were introf duced. The class constitution, which was drawn up by Patricia xludge, Henry Simon, and Adele Wiiiters, was read and accepted, Red and white were chosen as the class :olors and Wcwrk for Happiness was adopted as the class motto. Un lviay lo, a sophomore party was held. ln the middle of the ycar, Thomas McGuinn, the president of the class, left school and Patricia ludge took over his duties.
