Clark, artifical heart recipient Leonid Brezhn, Soviet leader —Business failures averaged 500 a week in 1982. —18 nations were at war in 1982. By a rough estimate. 125.000 people lost their lives. —E.T. (movie) earned $300 million in 6 months of playing. —ERA failed to pass by 3 out of the necessary 38 states. —The copper penny was replaced by a lighter copper-plated version. —Extra strength Tylenol was recalled after 7 people died from cyanide laced capsules. William Arthur Phillip Louis was born in Ju- ly to Princess Diana and Prince Charles of Wales. —The Knoxville World's Fair opened Mag 1. 1982. —The U.8.
