Sponsored by Mrs. Arnel Seymour, the Future Teachers of America had several proj- ects this year. At Christmas they gave a food basket. During National Education Week they held a poster party at which they made posters for every day of the week and displayed them in the halls. By selling pro- -Q, grams at one of the football games, they were able to buy pins and charms for every member. The White Flash drill team performed at pep rallies and for halftime activities dur- ing football season. They are chosen the preceeding year from their ability to follow whistle commands and do dance routines. The officers are chosen by the vote of im- partial judges. Mary Chaney and Rosemary Valenciano, Captain and Lieutenant, led the drill team :in their dance routines. 49
