.Q When Mrs. Boyd, Carol, and l began working on the first newspaper of the 1978-79 school year, we were faced with an almost entirely new staff. Over the year, we have watched the staff as they improved, and we have learned some very important lessons about journalism. Through the hassle of gathering news, writing stories, laying out the paper itself, and meeting self-imposed deadlines, we learned how important it is to keep the paper a good reflection of the student body. Most of all, we learned that the full support of the staff is essential. Consequently, on Carol's behalf as well as my own, I feel that the staff deserves our generous and heart-felt appre- ciation and our sincere best wishes in the up-coming year. ----- THE SAINT STAFF One of my most memorable sen- ior activities has been being an Edi- tor of The Saint. Although my posi- tion has demanded a large part of my time, I honestly feel that it has greatly benefitted me. By working on the staff, I believe that I have become not only a more patient per- son but also a better Christian. The people I have met on the staff and throughout the school have strengthened my Christian faith by their cooperation and understand- ing.
