Physical education at Briarcliff offers each student an opportunity to par- ticipate in a program that is enjoyable, instructive, constructive and worth- while. The eighth and ninth grade students take a required course that affords them experience in team sports, tumbling and apparatus work, wrestling and other combatitives, rhythms, track and field, and individual sports. An elec- tive program for upper-classmen is offered in which advanced skills in tech- nique and strategy are taught.
