CAA The B Club is the letterman's club of B. I-I.S. Its members include all letter-winners and its advisor is the coach, Rod Webster. The B Club takes care of concessions at all home basketball games to raise money for its various projects. These included buying some football equip- ment, baseball hats, and a light for our playfield. Pat Steele All girls enrolled in Brewster High School are members of the Girls Club The club sends two girls to Girls State each year. Our representatives for this year are Shirley Utt, Joyce Gebhardt, and Bonnie Schofield alternate. Louise Maas is to be sent by the American Legion Auxiliary. The club maintained concessions at the foot- ball and baseball games, sold subscriptions to the BREWSTER HERALD, and co-sponsored two one- act plays - - Roughly Speak- ing and Springtime for Skippy. Events that took place during the year were the Bi and Little Sister Party he?d in the fall, and a picnic in April.

V O MM-mg, l96U'lL:5A FIRST ROW: Robert Steele, Rita Norton, Mr, Harper, SECOND ROW: Raymond Raub, Patricia Steele, Shirley Riggan, Joyce Gebhardt, Los Tapitios, the Spanish Club newly organized this year, is bringing new ideas into school activities. The club motto of Los Tapatios Qname for the inhabitants of the state of Jalisco! is Mejarar las Relaciones Humanas, meaning, To improve human relations. The purposes and aims of this group are to improve student opportunities for communicating with Spanish-speaking people, to promote interest in Spanish language and culture throughout the community, and to develop citizens for a future unified world. Activities that the club has undertaken are meeting with the adult group of night school, corresponding with Mexican firms concerning newspaper and magazine subscriptions, records and music, and a meeting with pro- spective students planning to take Spanish to explain what is important in learning the Spanish language. The officers for 1953-1954 are Patricia Steele--president, Shirley Riggan--vice-president, Joyce Gebhardt--secretary-treasurer, and Raymond Raub--reporter. We would like to thank Mr. Harper, our advisor for the advice and suggestions he has given us. 23
