Of course, we knew very little about it, and little did we realize that we could not be actors and actresses at first. So being very green, we endured initiation, which was sponsored by the Sopho- more class. We gave a Leap Year Party at the Lakefield Skating Rink, which was a big success. Marilee Algren was up for nomination for Homecoming Queen. Sophomores - The next year we advanced to property managers. Altho we were a bit older and were granted more privileges, we sympathized with the stage hands because we had been in the same boat the year before! The first of our activities was backfiring the new Freshmen with initiation. We started selling cards during this year. Fritz Koster and John Thlner made the basketball team for their first year. Ralnie Vanwesten was Carnival Queen. The girls got to be waitresses at the Junior-Senior banquet, which was quite an honor. Juniors - This year we became understudies and we let the other class- es know that we could do things as well as they could. We gave the Seniors a banquet and we feel sure that they had a delightful time. Our theme for the banquet was, 'An Old Fashioned Flower Garden' We made the flowers ourselves out of crepe paper. We also had a meeting and selected a class flower, class colors, and class motto. Helen lcNab reigned as Carnival Queen. We were just under studies then, but it dldn't last long. We also made up our minds that the next year's Year Book would be the best ever. Seniors - So dawned the Senior year destined to be one of the out- standing classes and years of the class history. The sponsoring of the Year Book was an outstanding accomplishment. The sponsor for this year was Ralph Schwab. Marilee Algren came forward to fill the pres- idential chair for the student body, and Rainie Vanwesten came forth for represenative of our class. Corlene Schroeder was attendent for the Carnival Queen. Harriet Kraft was chosen senior attendant for Homecoming, and Marilee Algren reigned as Homecoming Queen. Helen MCN8b.Secy.
