Mr Thiel, Mr. McGinley, Mrs Williams, M Jones, N Selby, E Lydick, B Vincent, N Eggers, P Hoyt, Mr Williams, I Thiel, R Whittaker, C Williams, P Pargman, J Watson, B Peterson L McGinley HI-POINTS OF SENIOR TRIP The senior class left on their trip Saturday, May lla, 1955 The first night we stayed in Gallup, New Me ico, and arrived in Los Angeles, California, Sunday evening. Some of the seniors reported seeing the atomic blast which was set off at about S A M Sunday morning Monday we took an all-day trip to,Catalina Island We saw the Wrigley Mansion, Zane Grey's home, seals, jellyfish, sharks, flying fish, the undersea gardens, and took a trip on the island itself That night we ate at China Town, visited Griffith Observatory, and took a tour of Mexican shops, Hollywood and Wilshire Blvds., Chinese Theater, and Mulholland colored lights fountain We had the privilege of seeing Warner Brothers filming a scene for URebels Without Causen with James Dean Tuesday morning we toured St Sophia Cathedral, MacArthur Park, saw Art Link1etter's television show NH0use Partyng a d ended the morning with a tour at the Farmer's Market, where we had our choice of food served in 15 different country's styles. After lunch, we toured U-I Studio, we saw huge sets, entire streets and villages, and bits of Europe we also saw Aimee Temple, Griffeth Park, the Riverside Ra chog Walt Disney Studio, Tuluca Lake ho es of the st- ars, Lakeside Golf Course, Columbia Studio's Ranch, and the world famous Hollywood Bowl, from a sightseeing bus. That evening the class enjoyed a patio party at the Bob Hunter home in Wh- ittier, and after supper, we spent the evening at Long Beach Amusement Park. The roller coast- er was terrific! Wednesday morning we headed home. After driving through very pretty country, we ate dinner at Las Vegas, Nevada, and drove on to Boulder Dam where we made a tour of the dam and listened to a lecture on why it was built. That night we stayed in Williams, Arizona. Thursday morning we visited different points of the Grand Canyon and stayed that night at Alb- uquerque, New Mexico. we arrived home Friday evening very tired and happy and more educated than ever.
