I refer first to the scholastic growth that is evident in the every- day work of the school. The scholastic growth you, as students, have displayed and the skills you have mastered will be yours for life. May you always use them to good advantage. You have grown, also. in the formation of proper attitudes and ideals as you have worked with your classmates and teachers both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. These attitudes and ideals will become a part of you and will help you to become mature worthy members of your community. The achievements of the athletic teams will live in your memories as a reminder that 1960 was a banner year for Brewer High School I wish to extend best wishes to the members of the Senior Class who are leaving us in June I hope you will always love God and your country and your fellowmen and that you wxll do your best to serve all three in the manner in which you believe it can best be done Sincerely, LEE V HALLOWELL Supermtendent of Schools 'ir g I I N ' A Q 9 . , 7 . 4 ' VL A ' . . Without the co-operation of the committees, the yearbook could not be completed success- fully. The committees take the responsibility of obtaining the facts or figures needed by the board on any designated portion of the book. Each member has a particular job assigned to him. He is expected to have all material available when needed by any member of the board. This year we have enlisted the aid of a few juniors and sophomores. Six juniors and one sophomore have indicated interest, and have added a great deal to the develop- ment of the yearbook. They have learned important facts about putting together a yearbook, which will aid them in their future years at Brewer. 9 BP' X fs Qld JD Xwrgf X N 19 Qfnzofs zu haw lP!'Pl76d gzffs zn, fzbznzrlanfr Hom our School 1110 Ur haw qaznrrl not 01111 fnrzffzf 11 lI'lOIl1Fll!1I but also zflfals mul ffazfs of zmrfn Ilzch 1 1 -U81 4 SENIOR 'Q if W 7 T 4' AQ v' 15 T53 .Y -4 L 'Q 1 ' ix, f uf c f , fa .f A .' Thus after several months and many long hours of work the Trident goes to press. By Spring our yearbook is in the hands of the very students who made it possible Above may be seen Anna Poberts who is the head of the Clubs sec- tion She is gixing instructions to Doris Daigle one of our typists and Harold Lord our yearbook artist as to the correct procedure in compiling the necessary material for completion of her particular sect.ion 79 alibi ,x ai ll lllllllll II lsllllli ll lllllll ll lllllli-I l OOIUCIU' C 'A Mba +334 -Q-Q 'pin-:gf x-eww.- v T10 if xf ws , cg AK' k Drama promotes unclerstamlznq and K appreczatzon of the theatre 11,h1le f fordzng the student an opportunity to fmd .self e presszon through actmg DRAMA ff' TJ,-'S Q PATRICIA G1-:Dx EY BA UHIXCFSIIY of Ma1ne MUSIC ADPICCIBTIOH Sen1or Drama Come out from under that table' Drama Club Adx 1ser Mr Homers h1d1ng place IS -dxscoxered 1n a scene from Tu el e OCIock Murder' 1960 DRAMATIC PRODUCTIONS TWELVE O CLOCK MURDER The Sen1or Drama Class undertook the1r first play of the year wxth the productlon of Twelve OCl0ek Murder a mystery comedy 1n one act The play was d1rected by Edmund Sprague and superused by Mrs Dewame Gedncy CAST Mme Olga Barba1a Weeber M1 Home1 Ken DeBeck Hortense Frances Tard1ff Russ B111 Tucker D1ane Te1ry Bowden Pam Sally Jones Jack Robert Lallberte What happened to the lxghts' Ken DeBeck llqhts a Lmdle for Fr1nus l'ard1fl' as B1ll Tucker looks on 1n another sc nc from Twelxe OClock Murdex THE GREEN PASTURES Thxs year Brewel presented as a one act play The Green Pastures by Marc Connelly It IS the beaut1fully slmple apploach of the Southem Neg1o to the stones of the Old Testament The p1oduct1on was unde1 the d1rect10n of NIIS Dewame Gedney and was ente1 ed 1n the one act competltlon at Ellsw 01th on Mal ch 18 CAST Nam 8t01 Gabrlel God Ca1n the Slxlh Boy Gamble1 FllSt Camble1 Second Gamble-1 VOICE Noah Noah s XX 1fe Shem F11 st XX om 111 Second Woman Thnd NNon1.1n If 0111 th NXU111111 If l ztfoot Ham J meth 82 M5115 La1sson Eal le Sanbo1n Robe1t Blancha1d James Mundy Ca1l kelly Pol1e1t Lal1be1te John B11mme1 C1nge1 McAll1ste1 John Long Lmda NIu1phx Fdmuncl Spmgue Llnda Helsex Jam NlC.llUlS Te115 BONXflLl1 C lo111 glltlblllll lun Dnl uk H ll old XX l11t11e X J unts Day , 5 .
