And then there ' s Green dorm. The name speaks for itself. With its new look for the school year, Green has become a better place to live. Renovations abound throughout the dorm, the most obvious being new tile floors, new doors, and an eye-catching brick patio out front. David Taylor, the RD for the second year in a row, has played a major role in keeping Green ' s good reputation. A caring RD allows for friendlier living conditions, and the attitude of the students shows this to be true. Where else could you find such a variety of guys so closely knit? Green has basket- ball players, soccer players, even runners living in total friendship. Maybe this is the reason for Green ' s dominance in intramural sports: one can find a Green team in almost every championship. With wins in both volleyball and football the fall semester, Green will be remembered as a dorm that strived for the best. te m ■ • 1 L- 7 p W fl l 1 Above: Mike Teague studies in the comfort of his own room and bed. THEY WORK HARD One program that Brevard Col- lege offers to those students enti- tled to receive financial aid is work study. Students may gain some ex- perience and make some money by working at various jobs around campus such as in the library, in the Student Union, in the adminis- tration building, in the cafeteria, and for individual professors. The jobs are not as grueling as some students may fear since these tasks require only a few hours each week; and some, such as lifeguard- ing, can even be relaxing. For all of their hard work, these students gain extra money and the chance to get to know some of the faculty and staff a little better. FOR THE MONEY Right. Sandy Rogers works (quite willingly, despite what the sign says) for Doc Wood. 30 Work Study
