Dealing effectively with students is a vital part of Dean Houk ' s responsibilities. Friend, Administrator — College Dean Dean of the College, Dr. Morris Wray, supervises many areas of college life with an emphasis on the curriculum. Dean Wray is involved in selecting new faculty and also counsels students with various problems, academic and otherwise. He enjoys being involved with students and participates in as many campus activities as possible. Because Dean Wray ' s job includes organizing and initiating action, he is often described as the campus catalyst. 18 Administration Top: Dean Wray spends much of his time performing required paperwork. Impressing Prospective Students — Dean of Admissions Robert McLendon, Dean of Admissions, directs the student recruiting program for Brevard College. Dean McLendon and his admissions staff are known for the interest they display toward incoming students and their needs. He works closely with the admission counselors and with the Student Ambassadors, who conduct tours of the BC campus for prospective students. Through the diligent work of Dean McLendon and the entire admissions staff, enrollment has increased steadily during the past several years.
