V ?• 1 ! i: i 1 — i ? I am sending you some pictures of the college and my class- mates. The college grounds are called the campus and here is a picture of it. Page Three M M-BU They have two and a half new buildings. Here is the Campus Center Building where all the activities go on. We have a lounge in here with a T. V. in it and a place to dance. The other one is Taylor Hal and is for boys also. GREEN HALL TAYLOR HALL Page Five Because we all liked this man, we dedicated the annual to hin DEDICATION Though he has been on our campus only one year, his congeniality, true helpfulness, and deep concern for each student more than merits this dedication. By practicing his firm belief that education and religion are inseparable, he has enriched and influenced the lives of many students. It is with pride and a welcoming spirit that we, the 1958 PERTELOTE Staff, do dedicate our annual to President Emmett K. McLarty. Page Si) He is the new president of the college. When I met him, he greeted me with a smile and a firm handshake like yours, Pa. He introduced me to . . . Don ' t see why you don ' t get you one of those new tractors. Bessie ' s getting a little too old— My Biology book says ten years is pretty old for a mule. The end of the year ... it just doesn ' t seem like it. I ' ll be home in a few weeks to help you and Ma. Sure will be nice to see you and all the young ' uns again, but I ' ll miss college too. I ' ve learned a lot of things here and while Bess might not understand all that I say, maybe sometimes she will like to hear me recite some of the poetry I learned in Lit. And that math will help, too, when we figure up the accounts. Maybe I can ' t go to the Big City to use all this stuff I ' m learning, but it sure is nice to know that I know it and I ' ll bet I ' ll be sur- prised to find out how much of it I ' ll be able to use right there at home.
