ROBERT HENRY STAMEY President of Brevard College A. B. and B. D. Duke University Brevard College is dedicated to the cause of Christian higher education. Within the context of this noble purpose every facet of its life and program finds expression. Students who profit from this high adven- ture, mentally, morally and physically, will be trained and conditioned to play the game of life to a success- ful and happy conclusion. When one learns to stick to a task until it is finished, to be self-reliant, to stand on his own feet, to have singleness of purpose, to play the game on and off the field, to use his talents to the fullest, he has acquired sufficient habits and attitudes to insure a measure of success. When you go out from the halls of your cherished Alma Mater, go seeking after opportunity for all your worth. Do not wait hopefully for it to come knocking at your door. You must do your own door knocking. Do not go out seeking security. Security can be achieved only by seizing an opportunity and doing such a swell job that you make yourself indispensable to those who employ you. May your aspirations be crowned by high adventure.
