o T ;e Pertehte, like Duke University ' s Chanticleer, gets its name from The Nun ' s Priest ' s Tale, by Chaucer. This fact ex- plains the chicken drawings throughout the book, drawings done by Ina Meekins, a pre-college senior. In this our largest student body since the founding of the College, we have encountered numerous students who are camera- shy. We have adopted the rule No pictures, no names. For such individuals, the reader can consult official lists in the college catalogue.
