Robert, better known as Bobby, is an expert on the tumbling team; but he makes the girls tumble for him when he has a part in a Dramatic Club play. John William Franklin STEM, N. C. Cliosophic. Corpse is definitely not a fit name for this very lively girl. Her ability to play jazz makes net a popular person in the day students ' room. Mary- Elizabeth Clayton st. petersburg, florida Mary ' s willingness to work made her a good student; her knowledge of business made her a good secretary; her abilitv to shoot a rifle or to drive a truck made her an all-round good scout. Dixie Elizabeth Courtney candler, n. c. Mnemosynean; Speedball. To know her is to love her. This little girl is so smart that she makes studies play second fiddle to Ed and still gets high grades. Sara Louise Cummings pembroke, n. c. Euterpean; Fireside Club; Medical Science Club. Sara should have a useful career as a nurse because of her good-humored willingness to work. Jennie is a song- bird that likes everybody and is well-liked. Her main hobby was being hostess at parties on Second Floor. Robert Gregory kershaw, s. c. Basketball, Varsity Team ' 41, ' 42; Block B Club; Day Students ' Club; Folk Dance Club; South Carolina Club. The two things at which Bob was most efficient were driving a Buick and play- ing basketball. Patricia Earnestine Grimshawe brevard, n. c. Few girls ' athletic contests were held without Pat ' s assistance and encouragement. Helen Elizabeth Hampton murphy, n. c. Helen helped us learn our English, was a leader in religious activi- ties, and outside that was able to hear, see, and know all! Johnnie Elizabeth Hamrick caroleen, n. c. International Relations Club; Medical Science Club; Mnemosyean. Johnnie ' s ambition is to be a nurse. It looks as if we ' re going to need more like her. Samuel Floyd Harrill forest city, n. c. Baptist Student Union, Treasurer ' 42; Delphian. Hard-working and always cheerful, Sam was ready for anything — frolic or study. Ola I Iarwood robbinsville, n. c.
