Studies are given great value, for we feel that God would have us be fully prepared in order that we might better serve Him. Because of diligent training, God blesses by allowing us the privilege of bringing His Light into minds and hearts of others. Brethren High School is fully accred- ited by the state of California and is therefore' qualified to give the best pos- sible in academic training. BOX 605 PAQAMOUNT. CALIFORNIA June 10 , 1960 Dear Friends : This has been another year of outstanding opportunities for the students and faculty of Brethren High School. How grateful we are to the Lord that He has made our school possible through the prayers and gifts of His people. Our most treasured experience has been that of the study of God's Nord. This study of the Bible allows us to become intimately familiar with its Author and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. God's .lord has an important messaege for us who are his followers, namely, that our lives be patterned after Christ if uve are to be successful in our Christian testimony. Our convzratulations 'go to the larfgest class at Brethren, our Seniors. As our Lord blesses you and uses you throughout the years to come, may His 'Nord truly be a lzunp unto your feet and a lifght unto your path. Sincerely in Christ, f os ph xi. smith, Printipal Train up o child ln the woy ho should go, ond when he in old he will not dopan lrom ll. -Proverbs 22:6 ' M .'1v,-me CU yin 3.72155 During the time I was privileged to work with Brethren Schools I became increasing- ly aware of the wide open doors for the building of Christian schools in America today. I will never forget the blessings of those days. May God's special providence continue upon these schools in particular, and the cause of Christian Education in general. ur J reszkzz fs Zn 97Z2yes- The Christian educator accepts the Bible revelation that man is a distinct creation in the image of God. He also accepts the fact that man possesses a three-fold nature of body, soul, and spirit, each of which needs to be educated after a Christian pattern. Ours is a task to challenge every nerve and fiber of every Christian dedicated to this special field of Christian education. This field is now white unto harvest. cscfoof EGG? There are no finalities independent of the in- finite and sovereign God. Thus any adjustment which does not consider the sovereign God is in the end a mal-adjustment. It may be popular at the moment and as of our present location to ignore the claims of the In- finite, but there will come a day of reckoning! Has your philosophy considered the Christ Who is over all, God blessed forever QRom. 9:5j? Have you made an adjustment to the One Who is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, fRev. 21:6j? It is the purpose of our educational system to help our students make that important adjust- ment to Him and to make it now while we have opportunity. This can only be accomplished through Christs help, of which we have received much. Through the combined instruction of Miss Hutton and Mr. Harty, our school has three choirs. con- sisting of approximately one-half of our enrollment. To these instructors we wish to give a special Thanks Along with the choirs, we have other special groups which consist of the following: Ninette, Mixed Quintet, Male Quartet, Band, and Brass En- semble. One other person who has given of his time to help the choir keep in tune is the choir accom- panist, Vernon Luther. Vernon, who is a senior, is an excellent pianist.
