'f Dedication C34 N. tl! MR. JOSEPH H. SMITH The scholarly looking teacher above was born and spent his early years in the small town of Dallas, Oregon. From his teens he was active in Christian work and worship. His college train- ing was interrupted by three years of service for Uncle Sam as a Navy medical corpsman. Returning to civilian life he reentered school and graduated from Whittier College in l95O. A year of past-graduate work at Long Beach State College followed. Since the Fall of l95l he has been a familiar figure on Brethren High campus. He is known and loved for his whole- hearted participation in all student activities. His ready smile and witty humor have kept student interest very keen in his classes of higher mathematics and laboratory science. For his service to Brethren High and his evident devotion to our Lord, we, the Annual Staff, dedicate this i954 Ambassador to Mr. Joe Smith. Caught off guard.
