The semi-abstract murals featured showboats and southern belles. Jack Parcell's Dixie Land Band played on the veranda of an old southern mansion. Bouquets of roses and candles transformed the gym into a misty dream of the Old South. G.A.L. Dance The G.A.L. sponsored dances and a soccer game to raise money for the annual affair. The girls spent many tedious hours shaping roses and blossoms from paper, drawing murals, and planning refreshments and enter- tainment for the affair.
