SUPERINTENDENT Greetings to the Class of 1954. The class of ,54 is to be congratulated upon its attainments during the six years spent at Brentwood High School. One of the characteristics of graduating classes is the variable nature of its accomplishments. Some classes seem to excel in many fields of interest while other graduating groups appear to be less gifted. There are as many reasons for this as there are individuals in the class, for no two persons are exactly the same in ability or in interest. In the class of ,54 we find many students who have helped to build a good reputation for this group and very few who have held down the level of accomplishment. Many members of this class will now lose all contact with the rest of the group and will strike out on paths which lead away in all directions. May your individual successes be as great as those of the class of ,53. We follow each of you with a sincere interest and concern for your Welfare. Paul R. Slater. 4
