Sociology Club Observes Ways of Social Worker The Sociology Club was organized to teach people about the social worker. The Sociology Club was organized by Mr. Charles Sanders. The president was Cheri O'Malley, vice president was Sally Rost, and the secretary-trea- surer was Peggy Hodde. The Sociology Club visited the Gid- dings State School to observe the behavior of the workers and of the clients. 1. Sociology Club: FRONT ROW: Sally Rost, Cheri O'Mally, Mr. Charles Sanders. Rotarians Provide Guest Speakers for Career Day This year the Rotary Club sponsored a Career Day for the students. Students went from one class room to the other to the three sections which interested them the most. The event took place Wednesday, February 15, 1978 during 4th, 5th and 6th period. ln each class there was a speaker to talk on that certain career. the speaker left pamphlets and information guides to look deeper in that career. 2 - - 1. Norris Pruett and Anita Jackson pay close attention to the guest speaker. 2. Mr. Will Answorth, respiratory therapist at St. Judeg and Sister Mary Petyr, lab technologist at St. Jude: and Mrs. Ora Lee Edwards, director of vocational nursing at Blinn Col- lege wait their turns by listening to Mrs. Anderson talking about nursing as a career. 3. Mr. Bill Thaler gives a lecture on parks and wildlife. 4. Speaker: Mrs. Anderson, RN, supervisor of nurses at Brenham Clinic, gives a brief speech on nursing and how it will help the nurses and their patients. 5. Kay Boehm and Mark Arlitt listen to their speaker.
