A New Gutlook at BHS With the changing of the page design and the overall look of the Brenhamite, also came the changes in the school for the 77-78 year. A new superintendent, Edwin Cas- burn, took over the administrative duties of the district. Coach Charlie Nlateiowski began his quest for cham- pionship in every activity. The students lost one of their most prized privileges - exemptions - and the quarter test took on new meaning to many. The exemption pol- icy was retained for the seniors but only for the last quarter. The quarter famous for senioritis. 1. Kim Klaus takes pictures of people on Fifties Day. 2. Willie Briscoe stands dur- ing the school song at the Pep Rally. 3. The seniors try to convince the rest of the student body they're IH. 4. The senior class of '80 decorates the Exit. 5. Mr. Cy Rodger sits in his room, decorated by his second period English IV class.

New Colors, Ideas Add Spark As the year began, our school dazzled you with new fire and color. The fire of the spirit of competition and the new Cub colors - had our looks, on school different from before. Now, those who fought without fame, the junior-varsity athletic members had cheerleaders. And, a step into the past brought back the naming of ten to sehior p s based on not only scholastic ability but the involvement both in and out of school. Later, a necessity was filled, and a new boiler warmed a freezing school bringing a littl l'f ' ' ' e i e into the winter students, refreshing the students' outlook on school. So, with these things the modernized exterior and interior view of the yearbooks, and many other things came the new outlooks at BHS. silver, green, and white. Also, you 3 1.
