Band Has Many Challenges The 173 member band conducted by Mr. Maxwell placed second in the 3A Blinn Festival Marching contest. They also received excellent ratings in the marching contest in Flound Rock. The first of the year, they stayed busy playing at the Cubs football games. UIL Region band tryouts were held in Austin and Georgetown. On February 8, the band performed their winter concert, and on February 24 they marched in the Houston Livestock Parade. 1. Cynthia Hamrick demonstrates her flag holding ability. 2. Jennifer Hall leads the band in a number at Huntsville. 3. Practicing her moves, Drum Major Karen Klinkowsky is out in the field. 4. Band Remembers Notes and Tunes Everyone in the band has many responsibilities. Members must try their best to attend all the football games and pep ral- lies.
