A JV'S Have Close Season The JV basketball team had a close, but winning, season with a 12 win-11 loss record. Robert Hall led the team through the season with 171 points. 2 3 Cagers Post 21-7 Record for Season The first district game and loss came at the hands of Huntsville, 45-30. Winning the next four games, the Cubs came up against Huntsville again and lost, 60-44. The Cubs then won the next four games. The Cubs' winning streak came to an end when they lost to Aldine Carver 60- 55. The Cubs closed out district play with an 8-3 record. The Cubs racked up 53 points average and only allowed 50.2 points for oppo- nents, the over all season record was 21- 7. They played in the district tournament, losing two and winning one. The average points scored per game by the HA team was 45.6. The A team had a winning percentage of .538 for the season. Greg Heiskel was lead scorer for the season with 282 points. The Freshman B team fin- ished the season with a 2 win-6 loss record. Although they played less games than the A team they finished the season with a less winning percentage of .250. The Frosh B team had an average score of 24.0 points per game. The top scorer for the season was Roy Thomas with 62 points. 1. FRONT ROW: Robert Hamrick, John Howard, Perry Lott, Anthony Burnett.
