4 Torturing Tests Thrill Teachers Teachers choose a number of ways to g . torture students, but the most frequently used method is tests. Tests are supposed to find out how much a student has learned about the subject, according to the teachers. These tests come in all shapes and forms and range from short pop quizzes to 10-page quarter exams. They may be true-false, multiple choice Cmore correctly identified as multiple guessj, easy, fill-in-the-blank, short answer or matching, but they are all designed for the same purpose - to get a grade. l 2 3 1. Ms. Cynthia Parker shows that teaching can be fun - especially grading papers. 2. Mr. Robert Sherrill uses maps to get the message over to his world geography classes. 3. Mr. Stanley Sornmers pres pares a test for his math class. 4. Coach Doug Smith gives Joe l-low' ard some help. 5. Elizabeth Smith presents Mrs. Garnett with a gift from the junior class while Mr. Cy Rodgers and Mrs. Janet Gerke look on. 6. Library aide, Mrs. Mildred Tiaden, fills out the overdue book list. 7. Mrs. Deanna Alfred enjoys teaching her speech class. 8. Mrs. Dannie Klebold presents a rose to Mr. Cy Rodgers as a gift of appreciation from the faculty at the junior play skit.

Faculty on the Job Nlembers of the faculty will find lots of ways to teach class and do their jobs. Some set up science labs, or give the stu- dents study periods. There are as many different methods as staff. 1. Mr. Paul Pipes sits while answering a student's question. 2. Mr. Henry Pettie watches to keep his little children from going places other than their classrooms, while Darrell Boekner heads for class. 3. Mr. Stanley Sommers stands straight and tall to point out problems on the board. 3
