Senior Class Ends Year in Big Way With reflections of the past and specula- tions on the future, the occasionally dewy eyed graduates of the senior class of '78 held their commencement exercises on May 26. Gil Stricklin was the guest speaker at the ceremony as each graduate reminisced a collage of memories, memories of the happy, sad, serious, and fun moments of the year. The graduates were leaving behind the seemingly never changing daily routine, the ever-important morning announcements, forged notes, and the fear of what might happen if you didn't get to class. They were leaving these behind for the summer, work, or college. 1. Valedictorian Bobby Pfenning delivers his address. 2. Mr. Gil Stricklin delivers the guest speech. 3. Top Grads Announced On May 16, 38 honor gradu- ates were announced during the Awards assembly. These stu- dents maintained an average of 90 throughout their tour years of high school. Highest overall average belonged to Valedicto- rian, Robert Pfenning, who had a grade average of 97.491 . Saluta- torian, Cathy Tabor, graduated with a 96.152 average.
