Students Honored On May 16, the students of Brenham High School were assembled to be honored for their accomplish- ments in academic and athletic fields. Robert Pfenning was named Valedictorian while Cathy Tabor was named Salutatorian. Thirty-eight honor graduates were also announced. Mark Weidner and Cheryl Schwartz were com- mended bythe National Merit Scholarship Program: Cheryl Sharp was honored as Outstanding Negro Student semi-finalist. American Legion Oratorical Contest winners: Ann Dreyer, lst place: David Leibham, 2nd place. Kyle Dannhaus received the DAR Citizenship award. l The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an organiza- tion for athletes who are interested in learning more about God and how God plays a big part in athletics. This was the first year Brenham High School had this organization. It is divided up into boys' and girls' groups. They meet once a month for their Bible stud- ies. 1.
