Burch Leads Freshman Class Students chosen to lead the freshman class are Nancy Burch, presidentg Sharon Dietz, vice-presidentp Rachel Wit- taker, secretaryg and Keith Vesper, trea- surer. Freshman find out that they are the youngsters in school and are taunted by the upper classmen with the word fish, They also find out that high school offers many different subiects to chose from and a various selection of clubs to loin. So look out freshmen, you have a good choice ahead of you and only three years left of school.

2 New Cheering Squad Added for JV Teams Another new outlook came with the formation of a new cheerleading squad to cheer on the junior varsity teams. lt was the result of a Student Council referendum, on which the majority of the students voted in favor of having JV cheerleaders. The cheerleaders helped the varsity cheerleaders in some of their activi- ties such as pep rallies and the making of signs. The junior varsity cheerleaders were Katie Garnett, Carla Gustafson, and Laurie Davis. They were under the supervision of lVlrs. Dannie Kle- bold. 2
