Sophomores Join . the Best of Us - The members of the sophomore class had almost joined the ranks of the juniors and seniors as upper- Z ,.,f f- 'k.k classmen. They no longer warrant the title of fish, But a close eye ii ii still had to be kept on the sopho- T mores, for some of them tended to ft resort back to their former ways as frosh. But just looking at the sopho- more class one must-admit they had earned recognition as sopho- mores. Besides who else could take their place. ' ..., ,.,, K ., ., - . 'K fs 'K-r' fvtwisew. I ' - - . Q i- . ,. ,,.., Wg, . 1 . Candy Wilkenson takes time out in class to make up for some of her lost sleep. 2. The sophomore class officers are: Janice Walker, presidentg Helen Foerster, vice-presidentg Sandra Parker, trea- surerg and Katie Garnett, secretary. 3. Barney Thielemann makes up for some of the sleep he lost the night before. 4. Debbie Hoover and Annette Kubeczka look over their assignments. 5. Brenda Hahn and Pam Weed work together on their class work. 6. Roger Seilheimer reads over his English test. 7. Someone across the room catches Patrick Gaskamp's attention. 8. Sandra Parker and Jan- ice Phillips wait for the iudge's decision on the spirit stick.

BHS Shows Talent First there were the auditions, next the nervousness and finally your moment on the stage during the show. ln early May, Brenham High School students pre- sented one of the largest and most versatile talent shows ever held on the BHS auditorium stage. Acts ranged from dancing to singing to speeches and even plain old humor. Mistress of ceremonies Debbie Kenjura said that it showed a lot of enthusiasm, and she hopes it will raise interest in future shows. Student Council sponsored the show. Deanna Alfred, Student Council sponsor, said, The show was a great success and raised a lot of money for more Student Council activities. 1. Paula Gregg exhibits her dancing ability with explicit emotion. 2. Cheerleaders Kelly McLendon, Marybeth O'Malley, Cheri O'Malley and Suzanne Perry act out their possible future careers. 3. The tuba quartet, composed of Ken Ham, Tommy Hermann, Butch Ordner and Charles Sander, perform during the show. 4. Lauren Harrison and Ann Dreyer do a skit learned at Girl Scout camp. 5.4 Finis Wilson shows his dancing ability with the act of T.N.T. 6. Michael Kubeczka shares his guitar playing skills with the audience. 3
