BHS Students Select Favorites ln the later part of the year the different classes elected favorites in one of the most controversial elections ever held at Bren- ham High School. A one-round voting proc- ess was used to insure that representation was equal for the majority as well as the minorities. After the election was held, there were congratulations as well as complaints which raised the question of, How can a whole class have lust two favorite students? 1. The Senior class favorites are Alvin Hall and Ella Marshall. 2. The Junior class favorites are Benita Rob- erts and Lee Twiggs. 3. The Sophomore class favorites are Janice Walker and D. A. Juniors Picked for Boys', Girls' State The Boys' State delegates met in Austin, June 7-13. While there, they participated in the organization of political parties, campaigns and elec- tions. The Girls' State delegates were in Sequin, June 13-23. They also took part in many social and political activi- ties 1. Mark Arlitt talks to a fellow bus rider. 2. Stu- dents chosen for Boys' State are: FRONT ROW: Mark McCasland, John Ragland, Jeffrey Toubin and Darrell Boenker. BACK ROW: Craig Ahrens, David Leibham, Kyle Casburn and Mark Arlitt. 3.
