We-if . vfivifies On March 21, seventeen hopeful sopho- more girls campaigned for cheerleader posts by leading the student body in yells frightj, Elected were Mary Kathryn Schulte and Bar- bara Jeanette Konieczy Qmiddle rightj, Brenham's volleyball team participated in and won the tournament at Burton on March 22-23. Verlin Winkelmann was chosen all- toumament player, At the district literary meet, held at Blinn College on March 23, Brenham took five first places. The winners were: Barbara Cole - Shorthand Patricia Wilkening - Typing Danny Kasprowicz - Number Sense Suzann Seidel - Girls' Poetry Reading Charles Sander - Boys' Declamation fseniorj The Junior Class's one-act play, Cir- cumstances Alter Cases, captured the district title, with Peggy Borgstedte and Pat Derrick taking best actress and actor awards, John Bosse and Billy Spinn won tennis honors, Worried looks and wrinkled brows were eliminated as the second shipment of annual copy was sent in on March 26 to beat the deadline,
