THE NEW YEAR After the holidays, Sophomore girls, under the guidance of the Junior cheer- leaders, began practicing for the cheer- leader tryouts fleftj, Ruth Sander received the highest score on the Betty Crocker test and, on January 22, was announced the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow. Studying and just plain cramming came to a head January 23-25 when Mid- term exam time arrived fcenterj, On January 28, the Seniors met and decided on New Orleans as their Senior trip destination. The Daughters of the American Revo lution named Elaine Blondeau the D.A.R. Good Citizen on February 4, Boys donned their suits and girls their better dresses on February 15 for Senior class pictures fbottomj.

juuivr-Senivr Plays Along with other activities, including the serenading of Maifest Queen and King, Diane Schoenemann and Fred Mur- chison, on February 14, juniors and seniors practiced long and hard on their plays.
