The Lions were a very young team, many Times starting Three sophomores. At sectional time the mighty Lions perked up and played an excellent brand of basketball, defeating Lapaz 56 To 48 on Paul Feltens 30 points. In The semi- finals Bremen beat Tippecanoe 46 To 36. In the cham- pionship game Bremen Iost a heartbreaker To Bourbon in The last second of the game, 56 To 55. The gradu- ating members of The Team are Paul Feiten, Bob For- sythe, Rick Bowen, .Iim Morris, and Dave Snyder. 26

SECOND Dean Holderman Bill Husmann Jim Heckaman Larry Williams ROW Noel Hawley, John Koontz, Tom Walker, Robert Wilson, Jay Dave Snyder Robert Berg Paul Felten Bremen's cross country team tinished the 1961 season with a record of -seven wins and six losses, and captured tenth place at the sectional in a field of 26 teams. At a pre-sectional meet at South Bend, Bremen placed sixth out of a field of ten teams. Dave Snyder, and Rick Bowen were the leading scorers for Bremen through the ma- ior part of the season. John Koontz, Dean Holderman, Willie Misner, and Robert For- sythe rounded out the scoring for Bremen. Graduating members of the team are Rick Bowen, Dave Snyder, and Robert Forsythe.
