Sprig Staff Tries New Advertising Miss Wiebel, Midge Powell, Tom Tucker, and Glenice Stephey find something amusing as they discuss a new venture, pictorial advertising, al- though it was mostly hard work. I Art editor, Catherine Klingerman, typist, Linda Booker, and feature editor, Roberto Yoder work together to make the Sprig a success. During the school year of 1958-59, the Sprig room was the scene of frantic activity. Everyone's help was employed in our search for accurate information about our school activities. Our adviser, Miss Weibel, was always ready to help us solve our toughest problems. Student Council Discusses Student Problems Roberta Yoder, Vice President, Sue Balsley, Pub- licity Agent, Dave Michael, President, and Glenice Stephey, Secretary, discuss possibilities of guidance material with Mr. Shively. The Student Council was based on a new method of representation this year. In addition to the members elected by the students, a member from each guidance room was appointed by the teachers. They discussed stu- dent problems connected with school policies. The members planned all-high parties, worked on a Senior Directory which is to be kept up to date each year, and held a mock election. The Student Council members were in charge of guidance discussions concerning voca- tional and educational guidance. Karen Davis, Sonya Schramm, Fred Becknell, and Ted Huber work on information for a new student handbook.
