Our year of activity began with the presen- tation of the Senior Class Play which was en- titled Mother ls A Freshman . Later on we held our Sprig O'Mint sales campaign which was very successful. Our chili supper was a lot of work but it was twice as much fun. Near the end of the year we Seniors were guests at the Junior-Senior Prom. Everyone enjoyed them- selves very much. Then we set to work planning our Senior trip. The whole year was great fun . Scion! 1413. gfzemew 747' Um Wag 76141 Zag of Sedan! The first thing we did was to choose our theme. After much debate Spring- time in Paris was chosen. We engaged Tiny Williams as our band and chose Don Fel- ten and Sue O'Connor as our King and Queen. Finally the big day arrived. First the banquetwas held in the cafe- teria. From the cafeteria we went to the Legion Hall where we danced and Cooksey, the Clown entertained. A special movie was shown at the thea- ter after the dance. Break- fast and more dancing were then held at the V.F.W. It was indeed a memorable night and was enjoyed by all. They were hard work with plenty of rehearsals and just plain memorizing. Mr. McNew and Mr. Luttrull showed amazing patience with us and we tip our hats to them. At the conclusion of our sen- ior play the best acting award was given to Merl Heckaman. Kissing seems to be contagious. At least that is the way it appears. Virginia Bowser is presenting our two directors, Mr. McNew and Mr. Luttrull, with their gifts. Typical scene from You Can't Kiss Caroline . The gang gathered at the drugstore. The cast from You Can't Kiss Caroline . Happy aren't they? You can guess who won the Senior Acting Trophy, and you can tell by looking at Merl he isn't a bit proud. Remember when Kirk kissed Sue? This was the first year for a Spanish club, and there was quite a turnout when the news got around that there might be a Spanish banquet. Besides thinking about food, club members have put on programs of Latin music. They learned enough Spanish terms to conduct their meetings in the lan- guage, and they learned to sing some songs in Spanish. There was even some time left over for games. Pete Heller served as president of the club and Carolyn Sheetz was pro- gram chairman. Students in Spanish class and former students were eligible to join the club. Meetings were held during activity periods. 37 5ccZaceQaZ70az6470 From left to right are Rosemary Baird,Janet Nusbaum,Bob Whit1ock,Jim Hahn, Jeff Fisher, Wayne Kiefer, Shirley Matz, Jim Sheetz, Morris Brown, and Mr. Baird.
