S fi.. 3. fl 2- Seadafza The seniors of 54 have been as busy as little mice with a new piece of cheesef We started off with a bang by putting on our senior play. CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN was its title, and it was put on with great success. The star of the show turned out to be Paula Smith, who won the Oscar lJr.l. Next came the planning of our senior trip. As in every senior class we all took the attitude of nothing but the best for us . It was this attitude that won us a four-day trip to New York. Boy, are we going to have a swell time! Something new was then added. Remember the confusion of selling candy bars in the athletic room? Well, we solved the problem. We got candy ma- chines. Now we have only organized confusion. Things lagged for awhile but not for long. We had a class meeting for the purpose of deciding what to do in order to make some of that stuff called money. We would definitely need some if we were going to New York in the spring. One little mouse with great ambition popped up and suggested we have a corn pick. Sound kinda 'hickish and back-woodsie ? Well maybe, but it proved to be very profitable. We all gathered at Mr. Anderson's farm one Saturday and tromped off into his corn field. He had gone through the field with his picker, but you'd be surprised how much corn it missed. It's surprising how we picked as much as we did, as we were all so bundled up we could hardly move. Boy, was it cold that day. Last but surely not least, we started our Sprig sales. This brought about the Sprig Jig.
