During the first few years in the new building our in- structors tried hard to teach us the ropes about cow -handling and range -riding. Finally the day came when we moved on into the main BHS Bunkhouse. We were 37 strong by that time. Then Doris Sahlfoff, Rosemary Mutti, Mary Borneman, and Stanley Mutti joined us from the Lutheran School. We thought we were pretty experienced cow-hands but the way it turned out we were really pretty green. At the lOth roundup Bill Fox returned from North Man- chester and Ralph Stichter came from Mount Ayer. In our Junior year we added several new cowpokes. Jerry Treacle came from Canton, Ohio, Wally Huffer from Etna Green, Everett Miller from Rochester, and Mary Jane Pittman from Nappanee. At the beginning of our Final Year Bob Page joined us from South Bend and Manfred Schwoch, Otto Oesterle, and Helga Rinke visited us from Germany. When we organized for our Junior year our leader was Janie Mayer as president. Richard Nichols was elected vice president and Bon Tom- baugh, secretary-treasurer. During our Junior year there was much excitement with magazine sales and getting our classrings. Our Junior play was very successful and loads of fun. We presented Lights Out a mystery comedy in three acts. The biggest week of the year was the week preceding our Junior-Senior prom. We carried out the theme of Oriental Gardens and it seem- ed as if we were really transported into the mysterious Wonders of the Orient. Our King and Queen were Jim Drof and Evelyn Corl. Finally our last year rolled around and we elected Violet Borkholder as president, Bill Fox, vice president, Shirley Long, secretary, and Stanley Mutti, treasurer. There are three kinds of Seniors, Those who date and stay out late, those who loaf and congregate, and those who --- graduate. The class of '52 is the best class ever. Just look at our records: artists, actors, athletes, musicians, journalists, and occasional scholar, and a fine crop of loafers. We have finished smashing lab equipment, ground our last source theme out, thrown together our last note books, cheated on our last exams, and played our last games on the hardwood of Bremen High. Now we go out into the cold, cruel world. It's been a long road from the lollipop days to the prom breakfast parties. Our Senior year came to a close but we will always remember announcements and name cards -- Senior day and Senior Supper -- Prom -- Baccalaureate and Commencement. As usual we were a little sorry as the time for commencement grew near. As we take our place in the line of graduates we look back on the happy memories of a busy high school life and then turn to face the future, leaving our ac- tivities to the class of '53.
