PROPHECY MWe build the ladder on which we climbf' The steps on our ladder are almost completed, and up in life we go. Our crew isn't so large this year, but all of the very best quality. The head of our crew, Margaret Ann Church, is president of the County Red Cross. First on our little journey, Ietis take a look in this theatre. What does that sign say? 6'Hugh Cantrell, Owner?l' Well, you might have known it, he was always around some kind of show. Next we see Gerald Moore as his manager, and ,lean Bishop as his secretary. She always said she would just love to be Hugh's private secretary. Well, what do you know, Amelia Martin still taking up tickets. Before we go any further, let's have a bag of popcorn. Seems as if Ilve seen that girl before. Why, itls ,loan Bishop. I hope she eats enough popcorn now that shels selling it. She used to always eat it back when we were going to high school, but then, of course, she could never get enough. The advertisement on this bag reads 4'Georgia's Best Popcornf' grown by Curtis 'flugw Golden. Looks like that four years of agriculture did help him a little bit after all. Thatls .lack Waddell working on that light over there. His dream of being an electrician has at last come true. That couple that just walked in looks familiar. Why, sure, itls Mr. and Miss Bremen High of I946 1Asa Stall- worth and Hellen Piercel. But now, they have changed it to Mr. and Mrs. We might as well see the picture thatls on today. It ought to be good, Hazel Kierbow and ,lim Brown in HThey Ainlt What They Ilsed To Bef, Weill sit here on the back row where we used to when we would go to the show before school was out. Thatls one place no one will ever see you. Katherine Bilbo is now being paged, but as usual, she just canlt be found. The Sports news is first on the screen with Bonnie Otwell as our Sports Commentator. Alice Camp has now made All-American in Girls' Basket- ball. She was always a swell player. Eliz- abeth Bartlett is now one of Dupontls few women chemists. Arlene Woods is now one of Americals Greatest Pianists. She ought to be, after all that practice. Now we see the feature. Thatls Gertrude Ford playing as Hazells partner, pretty good too. The picture was swell. and I would like to see part of it again. but we must be going because we only have a few hours in Bremen to see everyone. Bremen has grown quite a hit since our high school days. We even have quite fancy-looking cabs now. Angells Cabs, Angeline Brad- ley, owner. We now have a new hospital and dental office, Mary Estes, nurse. Wen- dell Dorsett is assistant Doctor at the hos- pital, just ran in the family. I guess Fran- ces Driver's father is happy. His wish of her being a dentist has almost come true. Bosey Hardware is a new store on Ten- nessee Avenue, owned by Kenneth Posey and Junior Robinson. They were such swell pals in high school they just decided to go into business together. Ezra's Chevrolet Place is also a new building in town, E. B. Jones, Jr., Bremen and Carrollton. For quicker service call Carrollton 263. Some people may wonder why call Carrollton, but I think we all know. They have also enlarged the tele- phone offlce and Buena Brett is operator. A new school has been erected since we graduated in 1946. Quite a pretty thing too. Sara Smith is working in the office there as the Principalls secretary. Eliza- beth Morris and Mildred Ballenger are now teaching school, you know, old maid school teachers. Mrs. Kaley, our senior class teacher, is teaching English and Lit- erature at West Georgia College. And for me, I just drove myself nuts trying to write this.
