Winning, Bremen 1981-82 Homecoming will always be remembered by all those involved as being one of the closest races ever among the four classes. Past Homecoming races have never been closer, nor has there ever been stiffer competi-tion between classes. Each had its own who should have won and who deserved to win. The competition for the Overall was not only close, but went all the way to the final Friday to decide the winners of the 1981-82 Overall Trophy. The class color and cheer competitions continued the close pattern until the final votes of the event’s judges were counted. The Senior class took the Overall by a slim margin to the Sophomores, and the VICA club captured the overall club trophy. Competition was heavy this year and the underclassmen will be fighting hard to be the new successors of next year’s Homecoming events. This year's Homecoming was a great accomplishment. The Homecoming committee itself was a great help to me. I would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Rowe for helping me understand the way things were to be done when I was a Junior chairman of Homecoming. Without them I would have been lost. I would also like to thank Mr. Jones and Mr. Miller for all their time and effort they put into Homecoming. But most of all I want to thank the students for taking part in the events and making this year's Homecoming what it was, a SUCCESS!” Sincerely, Patty Kendall Competing And Trying Clockwise from above. Talisman The Talisman events for this year consisted of the pie eating contest, the Spirit trunk, the Indian knee carry, and the ten man pyri-mad. These events were all timed and the team that had the best average was the winning team. Terry Bristow helps Sheila Dempsey get dressed.
