TODAY’S TEMPO Homecoming 1981 was very successful and enjoyable for all. Patty Kendal, Cathy Dempsey and Mark Klekowski, the chairpersons in charge, along with the rest of the Homecoming committee did an excellent job at organizing and running the various activities included in this year’s Spirit Week. Preparations for this year’s Homecoming began two weeks before the events took place. Those who wanted to be on the committee attended the first meeting and filled out an application then submitted it to the senior chairpersons. The chairpersons selected the committee and posted their names. Committee members were assigned various jobs and activities to be included in this year's Homecoming. In addition to the events, the Homecoming committee also sold items promoting school spirit. Homecoming 1981 ran exceptionally well and, compounded by the Braves’ victories at the Homecoming games, made this occasion enjoyable by all. This year's Christmas Concert was a great success. Mr. Branch was very pleased with the performance of all three choirs. He said, “The concert featured a number of songs with all three choirs singing together. A rousing rendition of “Go Tell It On the Mountain was heard with the exciting vocals of Greg Nichols, Tracey Murphy, and Charles Steward. Other soloists were Jamie Scroggins singing If I Could Write A Song, Leeroy Ray singing Beneath the Window, Maggie McCarey singing ”0 Holy Night, Jolanda Powell singing Beneath the Window. Left Michelle Basick and Kathy Murphy: Friendship personified. Below Santa - friend to all. Above Friends. Patricia. Janice, Pat. Wanda, Hilda, clown for the camera. The Joys Of Old Friends And Of New Friendship starts with a simple “Hi, how are you”, and from then on it’s one great adventure after another. We learn to see our friends as ourselves and appreciate everything about them. There are times to laugh and shout for joy, and there are times to cry from hopeless sorrow. With a friend the days seem so pleasantly happy, and all our dreams come true. “High school friends are something you'd like to hold on to all of your life if you could. That seldom happens though. There are those occasional friendships that do last, but more often than not old friends leave and make room for new ones. That's growing up, I guess. The only compensation that we have are the memories of those friends. Later on, I think I’ll look back and realize just how important they were.” Robert Jager 1978 Bremen Graduate Opening 5

Bremen: A Learning Center For All Ages On the evening of October 21, role changing took place at Bremen High School in which both the parents and the students of Bremen High School were involved. By way of the Bremen Booster Club the parents were able to attend their child chil-dren’s classes. The parents followed their child’s classes to meet with the teachers and discuss the accomplishments of their children. The traditional Senior Citizen tour of Bremen High School was conducted on December 11, 1981. Included in the tour was a stop at the IMC where the Senior Citizens viewed slides of various activities. Also toured were the chorus room, the administrative center, and the Bremen cafeteria, where the cheerleaders acted as hostesses for the guests. The Senior Citizens will always be welcome at Bremen. Santa visited children from the Bremen area in the commons room on December 17, 1981. The cheerleaders served refreshments and entertained the children. The A relaxed group of Senior Citizens as they enjoy their day at Bremen children also got a chance to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
