Tuesday was Theme Day and rhe judging produced several besr cosrume dress awards. Senior Sreve Borden rook rop honors in his clown dress wirh a mulri-colored wig and sloppy shoes, (picrured above Righr) Taking second place was rhe ream of downs wirh rhe cor: Diedre Scalia and Darlene Swidergol (picrured above lefr) Also second prize winners included rhe piggy-back downs Jeanne Pe-rers and Jane Connolly (picrured lefr.) Meanwhile rhe dosses had already spenr rhe Sunday produang Spirir Week by decororing rhe halls. Freshmen assemble a mosr impressive arcus rrain. Ir was rhe Seniors who squeaked by wirh firsr place. Talisman For Luck The Talisman compehnon ogoin provided rhe Wednesday assembly with a voriery of rhrills, cheers, and toughs. The five evenrs included rhe pie-earing, rire-roll, spirir trunk dress, basker-boll knee carry, and ren-man pyromid Twen-ry-rwo reams compered In rhe race ogoinsr rhe dock Pie-Earing: The Sectors reigned supreme in doss while B-dub won over Cheerleaders and V.I.C.A in dub. Over 140 pies of bunerscorch, lemon, pisraschto. vonilta, and choco-tore flavor were gobbled-up by hungry conresronrs Three people corrying o smd pie behind rheir bock ro one anxious pie-eorer with hands behind rheir back is quire difficult and messy Tire Roll: The Seniors quickness prevailed os did o victorious Concert Choir in rhe tossing of eighr rires by four ream-mores over one other ream member who was pushed over ond rolled across rhe finish line. Spirir Trunk: The Seniors added srill another viaory ro rhe dosses whie O E. captured o firsr for clubs in rhe spirir trunk. The twenty orrides of dorhing added in on orderly relay manner proved a fast poced challenge ro many. Basketball Knee Carry: Skil ond abiity brought rhe Seniors a 'no hands’ viaory over dosses ond rhe evenr Oub honors were ried by Pom Pons ond B-Club who hopped, relay style, ro pur basketballs through a roised hoop Ten Mon Pyramid: Topping on olreody big, strong leod, rhe Seniors registered a record rime in rhe ten man pyramid. V.I.C.A. assembled its ream in a dub record rime The rorol Talisman Points went ro The Sector Class ond B-Oub (wlrh V.I.C.A. o very dose second) Another new evenr was rhe Double Team Relay: A two port evenr for dosses only The first relay involved a 4-person sack roce ro awaiting ream members on rhe other side of rhe gym who then hopped across o finish line The Juniors jumped ro on early leod. The second relay involved all ream members running ro a football, placing ir on rheir heod ond spinning 20 rimes in both directions before ragging rhe waiting teammate With rhe Juniors leodmg, ir was Senior Ron Evans whose dazzling footwork broughr rhe Seniors from behind ro win rhe second half of rhe double ream relay The points were roroled ond rhe Juniors held rhe overol leod ro rhe double reom relay evenr. 6 HOMECOMING
