Field Events The Athletic Showcase was rhe Thursday assembly featuring emphasis on physical fitness and athletic skills. The football ream demonstrated rhe winning form that would lead them to victory on rhe following Saturday. As they left rhe field, they set rhe mood for rhe following events. The Obstacle Course: The 170-yard obstacle course involved each doss and club having three 2-person reams running rhe course or 15-second intervals Upon completion of rhe last group to cross rhe finish line, rhe rime was rallied against rhe number of faults. As rhe reams ran under high-jumps and over hurdles, they encountered tire-steps, wheelbarrow races, piggy back rides, bearcrowls and sack races. It was B-Club's winning rime of 1:54.3 that tools club honors while rhe Seniors captured rhe Class Trophy by turning in rhe record rime of 1:51.9. The Tri-Kick: The Tri-Kick added rhe annual tricycle relay with a new football kicking contest to create an old and new event. The magic roe of Richard Kroatz and speedy Junior tricycle ream gave rhe Junior Class a combined win for rhe Tri-Kick. B-Club again showed their athletic superiority as they easily won rhe club Tri-Kick. Egg Toss: The winning combination of Dove Rutter and Phil Jacobs tossed B-Club a win with their 40 yard egg toss. The Sophomores again defended their last year's first place as they recaptured rhe egg toss title. . . . And Many

Bremen added a new dimension ro irs Spirit Week this year. Sponsored by rhe Booster Club, rhe Jog-A-Thon raised money for organizations that participated and also awarded prizes ro rhe students with rhe most sponsors. Students raised money by getting sponsors for their club and jogged os many lops os could be accomplished in on hour. The event was profitable for rhe dubs ond also mode Spirit Week more memorable. Although many students participated, rhe faculty also rook port. Organization sponsors porridpared for their groups. While jogging both students ond foculry listened ro music. The Booster Club helped rhe organizations of Bremen provide o fund-raising event and also has become on important port in bringing rhe Bremen Booster Club into rhe Homecoming activities. Throughout rhe year rhe Booster Club received oil rhe money for rhe sponsors including parents of rhe runners for rhe fund-raising project. The Booster Club hopes ro reach $7,000.00 by rhe end of this year when all rhe sponsors hove paid. A percentage of this will go ro rhe clubs ond organizations for their own use.
