THE BREMEN SHIELD . . . The Bremen Shield represents the ideals which students and faculty members strive to attain. We should be aware of our shield and of the qualities it suggests. The Indian head symbolizes good sportsmanship, not only in sports, but throughout all phases of our lives. Books are always an indication of classes and learning. We at Bremen are aware that the knowledge we obtain will be an asset in later life. Clasped hands represent to us friendship and loyalty. We strive to be loyal to our friends and to ourselves. Achievement of these three ideals is illustrated by the mortar board and diploma, indicating graduation. As we all know, commencement is not the end, but rather the beginning. To those of you who will carry forth these ideals, we dedicate this book. Study is emphasized at Bemen. Dances are fun. and the Prom is the most exciting of all.
