In compiling a 7-1 county dual meet record, the Bees' matmen became county league co-champs with last year's dual meet champion - Solon. In county tournament competition, the team, faced with numerous upsets in the earlier rounds, placed a strong second, with Dick McCoy leading the point earners with two pins and a first place. Lee Keenan, the winner of the Brecksville Christmas Tournament heavy-weight championship, placed second, as did John Barona and Mark Studley. Among the season's memorable highlights were the following: the Solon match which earned the Bees a share of the title, as almost everybody wrestled his finest matchg the comeback victory against Chagrin Falls, which saw the light weights making it a little more interesting for the heavier boysg the day Coach Del Rosa sang Happy Trails to the gang, the day Birdie got burns, and what Senior will ever forget that last bus ride home from Kenston. 77
