H 1 97 My first year as head coach of the Breckenridge Buckaroos was one of mixed emotions. There were times of great elation and times of despair. The people and players here are much like those anywhere else. Some great, some good, and some not so great. My arrival so late in the summer put a hardship on the coaches and players in having to learn something completely new in a short period of time. As is the case most of the time, the ones who had to suffer the most were the Seniors. This was a year of learning for everyone, coaches as well as players. with our first year behind us and being well into our first off-season program we. are looking toward a much brighter outlook for 1972-73. Coach Rader Tra ck Team The track team gave their all in the 1972 season. These athletes will long remember the grey sweatsuits, the pile of foam, the barons, aching muscles, and blistered feet. The Buckaroos played hard and won often. Long hours of practice paid off as they perfected strong, powerful serves and accumulated points. High sets, good bumps, and sharp spikes made the Bucks a real sports power. They worked together as a smoothly functioning team and separately as skilled individuals, always paying the price for victory.
