Above, Mr. Preshaw explains some government terms to Lois Miller and Sharlerie Matthews. Right, Lecturing while sitting on his desk was a favorite of Mr. Preshaw. U t . Ptesfiflbw' from Albion with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Mr. Preshaw taught at Zeeland, Michigan for his first two years. After spending a summer teaching in a Detroit school, he moved to Ithaca. He remained in the Ithaca schools for six years, and then retired from teaching altogether. For five years, he was employed by the Standard Oil Company, working between Ithaca and Ovid. Mr. Preshaw then started his own hardware store, which he operated for five years. Although he trusts us, he always kept an eye on us while we were taking a test. But, in 1956 Mr. Preshaw came back to teaching, and lucky for us, at B.H.S. He has taught many classes while here, such as Government, American History, Speech, Drivers' Ed., World Geography, and Social Living. He was football and basketball coach for six years but retired from coaching as of this year. As we look back over the years, we remember Mr. Preshaw as a teacher who was always willing to chaperone a dance or party, or be adviser to some struggling class. We shall remember him as an adult who was never in too big of a hurry to stop and help us minors with a kind word and a helping hand. We, the annual staff, and the whole student body could find no better way to show our appreciation to him than this small dedication. Thank you, Mr. Preshaw for everything. Part of his American History class discover some interesting facts about the Civil War.
