THE ROAD TO Dear Everyone, Did you know!? A road is defined as a highway between places — a means of getting from one area to another. In some ways, Breck is acting as the means to get you from first grade, or sixth grade, or eleventh grade, into College And Adult Life. For some. Breck may be one long red light on the highway of life. But think of it as a road to success, helping you to get from where you are now to what you will become. Roads have different personalities — some are smooth, some are rough, some are winding — yet all eventually reach their destination. And isn't that the purpose of a road? To get you to where you want to be with a minimum of fuss. Or can a road be a little more? There are people who travel on roads just to reach their destination, while others enjoy the excitement of the journey. So go ahead — do well on tests, finish your homework, join lots of extracurricular activities, but not just to make your college transcript look good. Consider the famous ancient saying: Getting there is half the fun! Sincerely. CIs BRECK 4 Introduction

After finding the cabins and unloading their bags, the students assembled on the field for some organized chaos. The seniors were divided into teams for the upcoming games. Even with all the screamed directions, it was very difficult. and many people ended up taking a peek to get their bearings. To encourage cooperation, the next event consisted of team members joining into a knot and trying to untangle. Supposedly without letting go of hands, the seniors climbed, crawled, twirled, and untied for two minutes ... never tell a senior that a circle is a simple geometric shape. The climax of the activities was the Bird of Paradise. Each team, blindfolded and holding hands, was directed to the goal (a birdfeeder) by its own “zork . Walking across the field and around — or often Into — the buildings, the students had only claps or whistles to follow. Mr. Hansen's team won after the Rev. Zork suddenly acquired the gift of speech.
