Today is Swish and Spit Day As the nurse enters the room, most of the children get plastic cups with flouride n them, while the students without parent permission watch the clocks. Swish! command the timers The children put the flouride in their mouths and swish it around. After exoctly one minute, the clockwatchers yell. Spit! Everyone spits the flouride back into the cup. wipes his mouth with a napkin, and throws the cup and napkin away All first through fourth graders and all the middle Schoolers go through this ritual, but Kindergortners and Pre-Schoolers must wait for this unique experience. One Kmdergortner said. I want to do that 'cause it looks so fun to swish the stuff around ike that ... Perhaps next year, with parentol approval, the program can be extended so that more may enjoy this opportunity. Kindergarten 27
